الأَعْمَالDeeds, actions
إِلَى اللَّهِTo Allah
أَدْوَمُهَاThe most constant, most regular
وَإِنْ قَلَّEven if it is little

🔎 Linguistic Subtlety

أَدْوَم comes from the root د-و-م which means:

  • دَوَامٌ (dawām): permanence, continuity
  • دَائِم (dā'im): permanent, constant
  • مُدَاوَمَة (mudāwama): perseverance

Constancy (المُداوَمة) is thus the key to Allah's love.

Ibn Hajar explains:

"To encourage those who cannot do much. The essential is not the quantity but the regularity."
